People of Ayacucho – a Pictorial

Nowhere I have been so captivated by the people of a town or city.  Ayacucho feels more like an oversized village, such is the feeling of intimacy in the markets and on the streets.  People selling on every corner, stopping to eat at a street stall, catching up with friends, or simply watching the world go by. From the wizened faces of the old folk to the touching innocence of the children, there is such beauty in the faces of everyone.

  1. Nice words Mr Pitch. And what a striking contrast between what you describe and the homogeny of the average British Highstreet where the likes of Costa, Starbucks and MacDonalds create a numbing uniformity between one town and the next.
