Bravo! The video is great – if you have time to keep the filming up then do so as the film works really well as a complement to the blog. And the shots of the scenery are wonderful. What camera are you using?
Best wishes as always,
Dave
Relphy, I recently swapped my camera for an Olympus Stylus 1 – a little compact with DSLR-equivalent control. Not cheap but I love it! Need a decent tripod now, and ideally a better way to edit – I did this on my iPad Mini.
I enjoy the videoing, but it takes up quite a lot of time during a day’s ride, stopping to set up. I should do more – everyone loves a vid and I suspect it really brings things to life.
Ruddy good work chief!
Not quite up to your standard yet, but working on it!!
Reblogged this on El Viaje de una Motoquera and commented:
¡Ahora disfruten de nuestro Video! Podrán acompañarnos en el viaje a través de la Cordillera Blanca…
Loved the vid, really does add something to the blog although I can appreciate your comment about how much time it takes up! Loved the bit where you traversed the landslide – bit difficult !
I do consider all of the concepts you have offered for your post.
They’re very convincing and will certainly work.
Still, the posts are too quick for beginners. Could you please lengthen them
a little from subsequent time? Thank you for the post.
Paul
Firstly – love the videos! An excellent addition to the site and they augment the blog perfectly!
I also have a GoPro that I use on the bike (I have a helmet mount but tend to mount it on the engine bars) – are you using the GoPro editing software or a different software?
Peter
Hi Peter,
The videos are becoming a mild obsession now – I really enjoy making them. Just found a handlebar mount for the Go Pro here in Quito, so Im looking forward to getting some more interesting shots for the next episode….
The first couple of vids I posted (incl this one) were done on the iMovie app for iPad – pretty basic, intuitive, and very easy to use. The latest was done on iMovie on a Macbook. Paulina was playing around with the GoPro software a couple fo weeks ago and it looked quite good; but I feel I need to get to know iMovie better, so I’m going to stick with it for now – don’t want to get distracted. Also, I plan to buy myself a Macbook this summer and may start using Apple’s Final Cut Pro, which is a logical progression from iMovie.
